8oz Self Raising Flour
1 Tablespoon Caster Sugar
1 Tablespoon Syrup
1/2 Pint Milk
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Crack eggs into a large baking bowl. Add all other ingredients, leaving the baking powder until last. Whisk all the ingredients together to form a smooth batter.
Leave to stand for 20 minutes.
Heat your hob and add butter. Temperature should be set to allow the butter to sizzle, but not burn, when added.
Drizzle the pancake batter into the pan in circular shapes to a size of your choice.
When the bubbles in the batter pop, turn the half-cooked pancake over with a thin knife or fish slice.
Cook for two minutes on the second side before removing the pancake from the heat and placing on a cooling rack. Repeat the process until all the batter has been cooked.
Serve the warm pancakes with syrup, jam or your favorite toppings.
